Emergency Preparedness
The Emergency Response Committee, community members with professional experience in emergency management, and BPOA/BCC staff have prepared a quick reference guide for adverse situations. The document emphasizes the fundamental steps to take before/during/after an emergency event, an emergency contact list, and alert/information sources. In addition, a preparedness and essential medical supplies list is included.
This reference guide is only a segment of the Emergency Response Plan (ERP). The document identifies vulnerabilities, a community-wide risk assessment, and a strategic plan for managing specific emergency events. As in past events, both the BPOA and BCC will provide all property owners/membership detailed information on how to prepare, what to expect and how to stay safe in the days prior to impact. We will continue to work with local emergency management agencies to obtain the best information possible and relay to the community.
We encourage all recipients to print a copy of the attached document for reference during times of emergencies. If you do not have access to a printer, a copy is available at the BPOA office and is also available on the BPOA website.
