Welcome to the Burlingame POA Architectural Review Committee (ARC) home page!
The approval of all construction in Burlingame, including new construction, additions/alterations to existing structures, or landscaping is the responsibility of the Burlingame Architectural Review Committee (“ARC”). Its objective is to promote design fairly, wisely and in a fashion which enhances environmental quality, general design excellence and property values. As volunteers, the Committee members work to protect the interests of all Burlingame property owners.
The ARC was established as part of the original Protective Covenants for Burlingame. As part of our community’s covenants, adherence to ARC Guidelines and subsequent approval by the ARC for exterior changes, including painting, additions and modifications to homes, and landscaping is required.
The ARC meets on the second Wednesday of each month, expect December. We encourage all property owners considering new construction or changes to the exterior of their property to contact their ARC representative prior to submitting an application and for larger projects attending a meeting of the ARC to discuss the application.

Any proposed work on the exterior of any structure, whether maintenance or modification, shall be submitted to the ARC at least seven (7) days prior to the next ARC meeting. Any proposed new construction shall be submitted to the ARC as least fourteen (14) days prior to the next ARC meeting. The ARC will attempt to act upon the request within such period but may require additional time for consideration and action upon the request.
